Prologue

Aryan pov : "Where the hell are you, Savas? I've been waiting here for almost half an hour! If you don't show up in the next five minutes, then go f*ck yourself!"

I said to him angrily on the call.

(Savas mehra my one and only best friend who returned from New York yesterday and told me to meet him at this stupid cafe)

" Hold on Hold on bro, why are you so frustrated, I am there in a minute " His voice comes from the other end

"You said this to me for the last 15 minutes.if you don't come here in 2 minutes, then I am leaving, got it?" I said that to him and hung up without listening to him

" Hello uncle sorry I am late today I was stuck in traffic no no Don't worry, I'll make my coffee. You focus on your customers." I heard a faint sound from behind, and I felt strange. When I looked back, I saw a girl talking to the café owner. she looks so beautiful that I lose myself in her for a second My steps automatically moved in her direction.

"Aryan why are you sitting here at this late at night ? What happened??" Dadi said entering in the garden area

"Nothing, Dadi. I just wasn't feeling sleepy." I said and she sits beside me on the bench

"Don't worry you will find her soon I know" Dadi said with a soft smile, her hand gently stroking my head.

"6 mahine ho chuke hai, Dadi. How much longer should I wait? I've searched all over Bangalore... I can't wait anymore."I said to Dadi, looking at the moon with my tired eyes.

"Reyansh, please go to Mr. Gupta's daughter-in-law's wedding on behalf of me." Reyansh my cousin I said that to him.

"Reyansh kyu tu bhi Jana uske sath" dadi said to me " Dadi i don't have time for this stupid wedding I have a lot of important things to do than attend this wedding"

I said in a flat, uninterested voice.

"I don't know anything you go with Reyansh and that's my order" dadi said, eyeing me

"Okay" I said because arguing with Dadi doesn't make any sense.

"Dusron ki dairy nhi pdte or agar phir bhi koi padh rha tho.. I pray ki tumhe bhoat gandi Biwi mile or agar ladki h tho ganda husband " ise kese pta koi unmarried hi padega

"What, stupid sorry but agar koi married pde tho any way I am reading because my wife is already beautiful "

"So, Miss Arya, you're scared of horror movies? That's... interesting," I said, a mischievous idea suddenly flashing in my mind.

"Hello, Miss. I was wondering... can I take you on a movie date? Consider it a small first step in our... whatever this is between us. I know you don't see me as your husband yet, but maybe... we can at least be friends?" I asked, trying to sound as innocent and sincere as possible, though my heart raced with the thought.

She hesitated for a moment before finally asking, "Okay... which movie is it?"

"It's a rom-com," I lied smoothly, forcing a casual smile. But in my mind, I couldn't help thinking of what I had read in her diary. It said that once, her late husband had taken her to a horror movie, and she had clutched his hand tightly the entire time, refusing to let go until the credits rolled.

I tried to imagine her doing that-her fingers gripping his-and a strange warmth spread through me. Maybe tonight... I could be the one holding her hand.

" What did you think Mr. Mehra I don't know about your second business " i said to mr.mehra while placing some files on his table he looked completely taken aback.

" How did you know" he asked while looking at the files

"Doesn't matter , what matters the most is if you didn't do as i say then I will destroy you in that way you can't grow up in your entire life. Get it you have 24 hours" I said and left from there

Arya pov: "You're truly unfortunate, Arya. If only you had come on time... Abhigyan would still be alive."

"Abhi wait!" She woke up from her dream, startled. Her face was covered in sweat.

"I hate you, Abhi. You promised me that we would live together, but look - you left me just 11 months after our marriage" I said it with tears in my eyes

"That NGO was a gift from Abhigyan... he gave it to me on our wedding night." I said to Aryan we both sit at the balcony with the coffee in our hands

"Kyuki mujhe waha Jake sukoon milta tha hamari bhoat sari yaadein hai uss NGO mei" " Tumhe pta h Aryan hum pheli baar wahi mile the " I said to him with a small smile on my face as i remember all memories of Abhi.

" Whenever I look in Aryan's eyes. I saw something special in them for me"

" I feel bad for him because I know I never love him"

" He is very good but he made the mistake of marrying me. I don't deserve him"

"Listen, my old friend invites us for his birthday party if you are not comfortable then it's okay" he said

"Sorry but I don't wanna go anywhere" I said

" It's okay no need to be sorry I understand okay then, I leave" he said and went to the door

"Wait, just give me 30 minutes. I am coming with you" i said after thinking something

" Okay, I'll wait. you take your time" he said, and a small smile appeared on his face.

"I can't forget him... he is my only love. I forgot myself, but not him," I said, with rage burning in my eyes.

"Then don't forget him. Keep him in your heart, in your diary, in every corner of your soul if you want. But don't you dare say he's your only love. Because I'm right here, breathing, burning, fighting for you every single day. I don't care how long it takes, Arya you will love me. Even if you try to run, even if you try to bury yourself in his memories, I'll drag you back to me. You're mine, and nothing not even a ghost can change that."

He said, his hands gripping my shoulders firmly, pulling me closer as his dark, intense eyes locked into mine every glance a warning, every word a vow.

"You can't force me.. you can't force me into this marriage. I don't consider you as my husband. I don't love you." I shouted,

My eyes burning with tears.

his eyes darken, voice low but filled with raw anger and pain as he pulls me closer

"You think I don't know that? You think it doesn't kill me every time you say those words? But listen to me carefully, Arya I don't give a damn whether you call me your husband today or not. This marriage is real, and it's forever. You can fight me, you can hate me, you can scream that you don't love me... but I won't let you go. Because deep down, I know one day... you will love me. And when that day comes, I'll never let you forget that it was always me standing beside you."

"Tum mujhe Guitar play Krna sikhoge"

"Sure"

" Now you try"

"Okay, kitna ganda sound kr rha h yea"

"For me, it's the melody that I can hear for the rest of my life." He said looking into my eyes, I awkwardly move my face in another direction as a small blush creeps onto my cheeks.

"Ahhh!" I screamed the moment I stepped inside the bathroom. My hand instinctively went to my chest as my eyes widened in shock.

"Shut up, Blue," Aryan said calmly, as though my outburst was amusing. His eyes didn't flicker, they just locked onto mine-dark, unwavering, making my heartbeat stumble. "You are shouting like I didn't wear anything."

"Because you didn't," I shot back, my voice almost a whisper. My eyes unwillingly travelled over his bare chest, the towel wrapped carelessly around his torso looking like it could slip any second.

A smirk played on his lips. "Aaj meri haldi hai... aur meri haldi tab tak khatam nahi hogi, jab tak main apni biwi ko apne tareeke se haldi na laga loon."

My breath caught. "Means?" I asked, though a part of me already knew.

"Strip," he said, the single word dragging across my skin like fire. He didn't shout, didn't demand-it was quiet, deep, but full of authority. He began walking toward me, slow, deliberate, every step closing the distance between us.

"Aryan... someone might see us," I stammered, trying to move backward, my back already grazing the cold tiled wall.

He tilted his head, amusement glinting in his eyes. "We're in the washroom, Blue. No one dares to walk in here. Not when it's my time with you." His voice dropped lower, silk and steel tangled together.

Before I could protest again, his hand slid into mine, firm and unyielding, pulling me flush against him. The sudden closeness made me gasp, my palms instinctively pressing against his chest, only to feel the rapid thump of his heartbeat beneath my touch.

"Aryan-" I whispered, but my words dissolved when he leaned down, his lips brushing dangerously close to my ear.

"Happy haldi ceremony, Mrs. Arya Singh Oberoi," he murmured, his breath warm, his smile wicked. "Aur yaad rakhna... yeh din tum sirf meri ho."

"Ahem Ahem andar padh lena book ke aage ka 🫠"
